Bereavement

Bereavement Support for
Hospice Families

At Hospice of Southern Kentucky, we understand that the journey of grief is unique for every individual. The loss of a loved one brings profound emotions, and navigating those feelings can feel overwhelming. Our Bereavement Support program is here to provide guidance, comfort, and resources to help you through this challenging time.

Compassionate Support Tailored to Your Needs

We believe that no one should have to grieve alone. Whether you prefer one-on-one support, group settings, or simply access to educational resources, our team is here to meet you where you are in your healing journey. Our services are available not only to the families of those we have cared for but also to the broader community who may need assistance.

Our Bereavement Services

Hospice of Southern Kentucky offers a variety of bereavement services designed to provide emotional support and practical tools to help you cope:

  • Bereavement Visits: Meet with a compassionate bereavement coordinator who can offer personalized support tailored to your unique experience.
  • Support Groups: Join others who are walking a similar path. Our facilitated groups provide a safe space to share, listen, and find strength together. Click to learn more about our Good Grief Support Group.
  • Memorial Services: Honor and celebrate the memory of your loved one during our special memorial events, open to all families we serve.
  • Follow-Up Care: Our bereavement team stays in touch with families for up to 13 months after a loved one’s passing, ensuring ongoing support during significant milestones and anniversaries.

How to Access Support

Our bereavement services are provided free of charge as part of our commitment to supporting the community. If you would like to learn more or schedule a session, please reach out to our Bereavement Coordinator Lindsey Sila at lsila@hospicesoky.org
